LED flood light, also named projection light or spot light, is mainly applied to decorative lighting in architecture. The exterior has a variety of shape, such as round or square. In order to take into account the heat dissipation, there's some difference between LED Flood Light and traditional projection light in shape.
At the present time, the LED Flood Light in the market is commonly used big power LED tube with 1W. Each LED tube contains a high photosynthetic efficiency lens, which is made by PMMA. Of course, a few companies even choose much higher power because of high-end heat dissipation technology. It's no doubt that every LED Flood Light needs a heat sink to help heat dissipation, whose size directly depends on the power of LED fixture. Throughout the whole industry, the application of LED Flood Light with big power is not very widely because of the price and high efficacy. Thankfully, this condition is gradually changing.
In general, LED Flood Light has internal control and external control. Internal control is able to built-in many kinds of changing pattern without any external controller. On the contrary, external control is just need to setup external controller to realize color change. The majority of fixtures in the market are external controller.
Up to now, the mainly application include the following areas, such as individual building and external wall of building group lighting, interior partial lighting, green landscape lighting, billboard lighting, specific facilities lighting in medical treatment and cultural center, entertainment lighting, etc. With the development of LED technology, it's believed that LED Flood Light would have totally replaced traditional projection light in the near future.
