The Operating Principle of LED Flood Lighting

LED flood lighting is a kind of functional lighting fixture, whose light beam is wide and average without strong directionality. When lighting up objects, the weaken speed of beam is very slow so as to give birth to a soft and transparent lighting effects. So far, LED flood lighting is widely used in outdoor environment illumination, such as for billboards, building contour, public squares, sport stadiums, factories, railway stations and harbors, etc.
What is the operating principle of LED Flood Lighting? Ultimately, it is one of LED light fixtures, which is made from semiconductors, including GaAs, GaAsP, AlGaAs and so forth. It is just a process to convert electric energy into luminous energy. It is constituted by N layer from N-type semiconductor, P layer from P-type and the active layer in the middle. After added forward biased, the electron holes in P-type area diffuse towards negative direction and enter active area. Meanwhile, electrons in N-type area diffuse towards positive direction and also enter active area. When the electrons and holes combine together, the fixture will give out light spontaneously. We always see different colors of light in the street, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and so on. How does it form? It's owing to different materials. In addition, LED light fixture would become much brighter with the increase of positive current. In a word, the stability of LED light beam is affected by the stability of current.
