Technical advantages of Li-Fi and application on LED Flood Light

According to report about the MWC on Digital Trends, the new Li-Fi product has a data transmission speed of 40Mbps, and it shows strong stability under the condition of constant direct lighting by LED flood light. The performance is weaker on the edge of light area, but owing to reflection of LED Lighting, there's no problem for connection even if walking around with the device.
The CEO pointed out two key advantages of Li-Fi technology. The first is more data transmission in a local area, and then is more safety. According to him, "the total data capacity can be improved in the Li-Fi environment. Plus, due to the fact that light cannot go through the wall, the network we build is much safer than that of Wi-Fi."
Besides, "with this technology growing more mature, we hope to make the size of this product smaller and build it into an integrated circuit module, which can be used in smart phone, laptop, notebook, wearable device and other types of electronic devices."
This technology might be quite promising; however it may take ten to fifteen years for it to be applied on LED Lights or electronic devices. What Pure Li-Fi needs to do is to realize this goal in a short period of time.
