Can A 450w LED Flood Light Replace A 1500w Traditional Light

A latest report said a 450w LED flood light can replace a traditional 1500w HID light, while a compact fluorescent lamp can hardly do that. Personally it's totally reasonable from the perspective of luminous principle, because in traditional lights or compact fluorescent lamp lights luminous energy are transformed from thermal energy which comes from electric energy, while in LED flood lights luminous energy comes directly from electric energy. The obvious result of direct transformation between energy is better energy-saving and cost-saving performance.

From the energy-conversion of LED flood light we can tell the energy conversion rate of LED Lights are higher and thus more energy saving. From another perspective, the wattage of LED lights and replaced traditional light are calculated by 3 times, therefore a 450w LED flood light can do replace a traditional 1500w light.
